What a beneficiary designation actually is

The line on an account that names who receives it. It sits on the account, not in a will at home.

Household document paperwork

A beneficiary designation is the line on an account that names who receives it. It sits on the account itself, not in a will you keep at home.

What the page usually shows

The form lists a person, sometimes a share, and a date. If that page is years old, the vault can flag it. It cannot tell you who it should be.

Upload the beneficiary page, not a summary someone typed.

People change. Accounts stay. The mismatch is ordinary, and it is why the file belongs in the household vault with a date attached.

Find the account statement or plan site printout

Upload the page that names the person

Attach the institution phone number printed on that page

Rixons stores the page and flags when it has not been reviewed. It does not change a designation and it does not give legal advice.
